Francisco Tarrega (1852-1909)


Francisco Tárrega

 

Tarrega, born in 1852 and dead in 1909, came from a poor family. Young, he lived by playing the guitar and the piano. He entered the conservatory in 1874.Thanks to him, the guitar gained a lot. At that time, it was the poor people's instrument.Around 1870, Tarrega began to learn the guitar to Miguel Llobet and Emilio Pujol. In 1885, he married and moved to Barcelona, where he made friends like Albeniz or Granados. He died in Barcelona.
